Hi, I’m Monica. I live in Nashville and go to Belmont University, where I am majoring in entertainment industry studies and minoring in public relations. I’m a 4 on the enneagram, I love coffee, ice cream, and my bunny Cooper, and I will go off about A Star is Born until the day I die.

I started my blog in April of 2018 when I was in the middle of a very difficult season of unexpected change and heartbreak. At the time, I was using my writing as an outlet to help me deal with some pretty hard feelings, but it quickly became one of my biggest passions — something that made me excited and gave me a feeling of purpose. I’ve felt a push to keep writing, so I decided to be a little more intentional about it.

I love all things beauty, fashion and lifestyle. Most of all, though, I have a heart for people who are struggling, because I know the feelings of intense anxiety, loneliness, and heartache. I also know how it feels to read words or hear people talk about things that actually relate to my story — it gives a sense of hope. I pray I’m able to be that relatable voice to others through being vulnerable here.

For the longest time, I used my blog to help myself. I think in writing so much about what I was going through last year, I skipped over a lot of the things happening in my life that were good. Now that I am in a better place, I want to post more about everything happening in my life. There is always something good to talk about, and I’d love to share more of that.

My goal is to use this blog as a way to encourage and connect. I’m hoping that through the things I post—whether it’s about a hard time I’m going through or my morning routine—that someone reading is able to find some kind of encouragement or hope. Because there is so much to hope for, and I pray that the hope I’ve found over the past year is visible through what I write.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

If you’re following along, I really appreciate you being here and I hope you enjoy reading my posts!
